Mumbly is operated by Offchain Studio, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel, KvK) under number 92717810.

This policy covers this website (mumbly.ai) and the usage analytics collected by the Mumbly desktop app. It does not cover Mumbly Cloud, our optional hosted service, which has its own policy.

This website

mumbly.ai does not use cookies and does not embed any analytics or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information, such as IP address and browser type, in server logs for security and operational purposes.

Product analytics

To understand how Mumbly is used and to improve it, the Mumbly desktop app sends anonymous usage analytics. We collect:

  • Statistics about your use of voice dictation, such as how often and how long it is used
  • Device type
  • Microphone type
  • IP address

This data is tied to an anonymous, per-device identifier only — never to your name, email address, or a Mumbly Cloud account — and never includes what you actually said or dictated. You can turn analytics off at any time in Mumbly's Settings, under Privacy.

Who processes this data for us

We use one sub-processor to collect and store analytics data:

  • PostHog (EU) — analytics processing, hosted in the European Union

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond this sub-processor.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving Mumbly, balanced against your right to opt out of analytics at any time as described above.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to our processing of it. Because analytics data is anonymous and not linked to your identity, we may not be able to identify which data is yours. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date above whenever we do.
